Dr. George C. Stege III
George C. Stege III, M.D. is Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Practice, the American Board of Bariatric Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He is a member of the Jefferson County Medical Association, Kentucky Medical Society, American Medical Association, Kentucky Academy of Family Physicians, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. He graduated Cum Laude from Princeton University, received his MD and a masters degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and was chief resident at the University of Louisville School of Medicine Family Practice Deparment. He was a National Merit Scholar in high school. He participates in the training of medical students and residents of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He was recently featured in an article in the Courier Journal A Life With Computer's and in other articles Only Kid on the Block With His Own Computer , Poor George His Laser Lases But , UEI Extension Student Builds Laser , 2 Louisville Boys Will Fly to See Apollo Blast-Off , and 10 Louisville Seniors Named as Winners of National Merit Scholarships


Lisa Carden Stege
Lisa has been a valuable member of the Hurstbourne Family Care team for over twenty years. She is a native of Louisville and a graduate of Health Careers Institute, has studied at Harvard University, and has masters and doctorate degrees. Lisa is the Practice Manager at HFC as well as our lab manager who keeps all things running smoothly on a daily basis. She has a genuine concern for all of her patients and gives one (or more) of the best shots in town. Visit her blog at lisastege.blogspot.com She is now the only Sjogren's Ambassador in the state of Kentucky, and her mission is to educate doctors about this underdiagnosed condition. Her story was be published in the Greater Louisville Medical Society magazine. She received the 2012 Sjogren's Ambassador Of The Year Award for outstanding work. Her health has forced her to retire. She misses her patients.
She appeared on Wave Country with Dawn Gee on WAVE 3 TV on Father's Day Sunday June 17th 2012 at 10:30 AM to discuss her experience with Sjogren's Syndrome.


My name is Gina Moore I am a certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Louisville Ky. I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with my Masters in Science Nursing degree and currently work as a Nurse Practitioner. I have emergency room experience as well as experience in a non-narcotic pain/wellness clinic in a Chiropractor setting.

We are happy to announce our newest APRN to the practice of Hurstbourne Family Care and Louisville Center for Weight Loss. She brings to us her experience having worked in The Little Clinic and Norton Immediate Care Centers as Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her BSN from the University of Kentucky and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisville. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives. Her experience includes work at Kosair Children's Hospital in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. We are happy to welcome her to our team.


Jill comes to us by way of Lexington, Kentucky where she worked for 17 years at St. Joseph Hospital, working in the ICU, ER and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She earned a Masters Degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downers Grove, Illinois and a Masters Degree in Nursing Administration from American Sentinel University in Aurora, Colorado. She obtained her Nursing degree from Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. Her clinical experience is in the urban and rural settings in Lexington, Stanton, and Winchester, Kentucky. She has performed full physicals for infants, children, and adults and is capable of diagnosing and managing a variety of illnesses including chronic and mental health conditions. We are so pleased to welcome her to our family practice and weight loss clinic.


Amber Stege McClease
Amber started as an intern, and now is the office manager at Hurstbourne Family Care. In addition to helping out as needed with the front office and lab, she is the Endermologie and Micro-dermabrasion Technician at Hurstbourne Family Care. She has her master's license as a hairdresser cosmetologist.  She has two children Dayton and Bryce. Her health has forced her to retire.


Ann Carden Champion
Ann Champion comes to Hurstbourne Family Care after retiring from 35 years of distinguished service at the Norton Hospital as a medical transcriptionist. Before her retirement she was a certified medical transcriptionist and a member of the local, state and national American Association of Medical Transcriptionists. She knows many of the doctors in Louisville. She brings her bright cheerful disposition to her job as our Patient Care Facilitator. She is affectionately know as our "Auntie Ann". She is a native of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She attended the Elizabethtown city schools, and Bethel College.


Brandi is a graduate of Atherton High School. She comes to us by way of the University of Louisville where she worked in a supervisory position, with a background in bookkeeping. She has served us well as the office manager for HFC and LCWL.


Dayton Gohl is the oldest grandson of Dr. George and Lisa Stege. His desire is to learn all he can about the medical profession and what better place than at Hurstbourne Family Care and Louisville Center for Weight Loss.

Dayton is a graduate of Trinity High School and attended the University of Kentucky where he majored in business and psychology.

Welcome Dayton. We are glad to teach you to be a great health care professional.


Ana has worked in the medical field for four years. She attended TMIKY for CMA and phlebotomy, and did her internship in our office. She is bilingual speaking English and Spanish.
