The most popular medications are the appetite suppressants Fastin, Ionamin, and Adipex brand names of Phentermine, Plegine, and Bontril brand names of Phendimetrazine. Topamax may be added for patients who crave sweets, often eliminating that strong desire for sugar intake. Patients who retain water may be given a diuretic. The initial visit is typically $169.95; however, we are running a special for $99.95 this month.

Your initial visit includes a history and physical exam, an EKG heart test, a urinalysis, a body fat analysis, a complete blood profile, and a workbook on nutrition. We have recently started prescribing the HCG diet. Our introductory price is only $99.95, including Dr. Simeon’s book. Other offices charge $900 for this medication. Our standpoint is in opposition to Dr. Simeon’s 500-calorie diet.

The FDA approved Wegovy on June 4th, 2021, the first new medication approved since 2014. In one study, over half the patients lost 15% of their body weight. It is a once-a-week injection.  It is now available as a generic compounded semaglutide.  This medication is also marketed as Ozempic for diabetes.

We are excited to announce the FDA approval of Qsymia. Qsymia is a combination of phentermine, the safe half of phen-fen, with Topamax, a medication that helps with the craving for sweets and gives them a bad taste. Generic Topamax is available for around $10; generic phentermine is about $19.

Saxenda and Contrave were FDA approved in 2014. Thanks to the effectiveness of Saxenda, a stronger-strength diabetic injection pen, I successfully lost 70 pounds. Contrave combines the antidepressant Wellbutrin with a narcotic blocker, naltrexone.

Wegovy is an improved version of Saxenda which is given weekly instead of daily with superior results. It is available as a compounded semaglutide at 1/10 the total price. Mounjaro is in the same family and is even more effective. It is known as compounded Tirzepatide.
